Job Details:** Please attach resume in either PDF or Word format**This position is responsible for inventory control in the maintenance shop and receiving and storing parts, maintenance supplies, and miscellaneous receivers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
  • Inspect the physical condition of warehouse inventory and equipment.
  • Prepares materials for work orders and requisitions for equipment replacement.
  • Ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
  • Salvages damaged or used material and/or its disposal.
  • Check all hand tools weekly, report problems, and replace them as needed.
  • Check all issued equipment (including hand and portable power tools), and ensure they are inspected and replaced when needed. Ensure all flammables are returned for proper storage and/or disposal.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts or other equipment utilized in the warehouse area or for parts and/or supply delivery.
  • Participates in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
