Parts Room Attendant
: Job Details :

Unload, receive, and distribute parts from vendors (via UPS, Fed Ex, Freight trucks, etc) to appropriate Departments. Read natural gas meter and take water readings, as needed. Issue shop tools, plant keys, sharps, chemicals, safety equipment, manuals, etc. as required. Assist mechanics in the plant in identifying parts that need to be purchased. Organize and maintain project parts and special orders. Release project parts to Mechanics and Contractors. Record any items given to contractors. Use the Inventory System (Mainsaver) to attach part numbers to Work Orders. Conduct cycle counts of on-hand inventory daily (at minimum) and adjust inventory in the System accordingly. Conduct inventory counts on specific locations within the Parts Room every week. Confirm the parts count before re-order. Prevent ordering parts if in stock or orders additional if under stock.
