DescriptionSummary of the position:Deliver and pick up parts and material for the Fabrication Shop.Duties and responsibilities:* Deliver and pick up parts at various locations in and around the local delivery area as assigned in a safe and timely manner.* Prepare, obtain, and drop off accurate receipts and invoices for all deliveries and pick-ups.* Ensure accuracy of deliveries and pickups and obtain signatures for all required documentation.* Maintain accurate daily log with time and date records for deliveries and pickups made.* Maintain open and professional communication with parts manager, warehouse manager, parts personal, and other employees to facilitate complete, efficient deliveries and pickups.* Uphold basic cleanliness and maintenance of delivery vehicle, including but not limited to refueling, washing, removing trash, etc.* Assist warehouse with parts picking, invoicing, shipping, receiving, shelving, stocking, and other duties as assigned.* Assist with general Fab Shop cleanliness and maintenance.* Perform accurate inventory counts as assigned by management in accordance with annual physical inventory counts and cycle counts.* Turn off lights, secure vehicles, lock doors, and perform other closing duties as necessary.Qualifications:Education:* High School Diploma or equivalent.Professional experience:* One or more years' experience to include clerical, shipping/receiving work and driving experience.* Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.* Must train and pass fork truck operator training.* Must be able to read and interpret basic documentation such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.* Must possess basic math and reasoning abilities.Key behaviors:* Ability to meet the public in a friendly, courteous, and businesslike manner.* Ability to communicate orally and in writing, and to receive detailed information in person or by phone.* Ability to read, verify and input accurately a large volume of work with repetitive motions required.* Ability to perform routine mathematical calculations and accurately transfer numbers to various reports/entries.* Ability to work well with others and be detail oriented.Other:* May be required to cross-train for other positions.* May train for advancement.* Will need to perform other duties as assigned by management.Direct reports:* N/APhysical Qualifications* This position involves moderate physical work with lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.* Must wear steel-toed shoes or boots.* This position also includes short periods of sitting at a desk using a computer and long periods sitting in a vehicle delivering parts.The successful candidate is responsible for complying with Hitachi Global Air Power US Code of Ethics and related policies.
