Open Date: 09/25/2024 Close Date: 09/30/2024 Union: USA/TCU Division/Department: Finance /Finance/Revenue Operations Location:SEPTA Headquarters Starting Rate of Pay: Union 12 *$25.89* OVERALL DESCRIPTION Under the general supervision of the Crew Remittance Office Supervisor, the Passenger Receipts Clerk(s) receives money from on-board personnel; counts, verifies, and audits daily remittances through the Money Room Application; resolves any cash discrepancies; and notifies crew members of any outstanding debits and/or memos. Prepares daily cash deposit from the remittance collections. Distributes and secure Regional Rail Quick Trips. Performs other related activities including maintaing logs, preparing invoices and filing. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive money from on-board personnel; counts, verifies, and audits daily remittances through the Money Room Application; resolves any cash discrepancies; and notifies crew members of any outstanding debits and/or memos.
  • Secures all funds at the completion of shift and prepares and secures daily cash deposit.
  • Responsible for using SEPTA Key Money Room and Inventory management Applications personal computer programs as directed by management.
  • Verifies, distributes, inventory and securies Regional Rail Quick Trips.
  • Responsible for preparing invoices, files and documentation for file storage in conjunction with archiving system.
  • Must be able to lift and stack boxes weight up to thirty pounds up to five feet high.
  • Complies with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public, self and/or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others.
  • Performs other clerical duties as assigned.
  • ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must successfully pass SEPTA's data entry, mathematical and revenue related tests.
    • Must be able to lift and stack boxes weighing thirty pounds up to five feet without restrictions.
    • Previous fast-paced cash handling experience is a requirement.
