With The Guidance Of The Manager Of Pastoral Care, Assists As Needed With Direct Pastoral Care To Patients And Their Families And With Spiritually Supporting Hospital Staff. Participates In Departmental Meetings And Educational Sessions.

Responsibilities
* 1. Provide Direct Pastoral Care To Patients, Families, And Staff.
* 2. Provide Periodic On-Call Coverage On Weeknights And Weekends, In Cooperation With Other Chaplains.
* 3. Assess Spiritual Conditions And Make Appropriate Plans For Follow-Up.
* 4. Document Pastoral Care Visits According To Policy In The Hospital?S Electronic Charting Program, And Comply With Other Departmental Procedures For Information Gathering And Statistical Purposes.
* 5. Make Referrals To Other Patient Care Areas (E.G. Social Work, Psychiatry) As Appropriate.
* 6. Contact Patient?S Place Of Worship With Patient?S Permission.
* 7. Participate In Departmental Meetings, Events, And Education As Negotiated.
* 8. Meets Performance Expectations For Customer Service, Teamwork, Resource Utilization, And Staff And Self Development As Outlined In Performance Review.
* 9. Performs Other Duties As Assigned Or Directed To Ensure Smooth Operation Of The Department/Unit.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree Required. Master Of Divinity (M.Div.), Master Of Arts In Theology (Ma-Theology) Or Equivalent From Accredited Theological Seminary Preferred.
EXPERIENCE
One Year Working As Chaplain In A Health Care Setting (Inclusive Of CPE) Preferred.
LICENSURE
Board Certification From APC Or Equivalent Is Preferred
SPECIAL SKILLS
Letter Of Endorsement For Hospital Ministry By Appropriate Religious Authority
