Assignment:
- Drafting, prosecution, and defense of patent applications nationally and internationally
- Support for the monitoring and appeals procedures of industrial property rights of third parties
- Task management between partner law firm and IP department
- Advice on development projects and cooperation agreements
- Support in monitoring technology fields and identifying opportunities, gaps, and risks
- Cooperation with R & D / engineering and product management teams to capture innovative ideas, categorize and review the potential value of such ideas as well as coordinate novelty search
- Cooperation with the global IP teams, including IP champions in engineering centers
- Internal patent analysis to determine the strength and value of existing portfolios
- Perform patent analyses of third-party portfolios for several business purposes
- Maintain a database for the collection of innovation ideas and coordination of permits to track potential patents
- Groundwork for national and international litigation and enforcement measures care of the patent database and coordination of the expenses for their care
- Support for the preparation of quarterly reports for all patent and intellectual property activities
- Propose applications to extend the patent portfolio to prepare protection of new technologies aligned with the technology roadmap
- Build a patent fence on key technologies, especially for the US patent portfolio part
Technical requirements
- A completed bachelor's degree in electronics engineering or mechatronics
- Excellent understanding of US patent law for prosecution activities
- Registered US Patent Agent
- Experience as Patent Agent
- Industrial expertise in electronics engineering
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to learn quickly
