Eckert Seamans is a full-service national law firm with a strong reputation and history of success that spans more than 65 years. With approximately 300 lawyers across a network of 15 offices, we provide clients with proactive, solution-oriented business and litigation counsel. We are seeking an experienced Patent IP Paralegal. Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications, including Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications and associated documents
- Track docket entries and deadlines
- Prepare reports for attorneys and clients
- Confer with clients, foreign associates and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office personnel
- Conduct patent watch investigations and publication investigations
- Arrange for legalization of documents in connection with mergers and change of name documents in foreign countries
- Oversee the maintenance fee services provided to our clients by CPA Global, arrange to set-up new accounts, and act as liaison when issues arise
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of foreign patent docketing
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience required
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA qualified program preferred
- Minimum five years patent prosecution experience

- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
