Job DescriptionFind your purpose as a Patient Access Assistant Lead at the CentraCare Plaza and other nearby locations in St Cloud! Patient Access Assistants are often the first point of contact for our patients. As a Patient Access Assistant Lead, you will assist and lead the team in this highly visibility role, welcoming patients and checking them in for their appointment, verifying patient and insurance information, processing complex documents checking for accuracy and completeness, scheduling appointments and/or transmitting information to other departments, obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts, and managing phones while exercising professional judgment and applying detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed. The lead will assist in training, coaching, ongoing projects, data measures and collection, and continuing education needs of Patient Access staff and will support and implement patient safety and other safety practices.Schedule:
- Full-Time | 80 hours every two weeks
- Monday - Friday variable 8-hour shifts between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
- May travel to various other CentraCare locations.
- Computer knowledge, keyboard skills, and skills using office equipment.
- Working knowledge of all Prelude/ADT/Scheduling/Insurance authorization and referral functions within Epic.
- Epic Certification Epic Prelude/ADT (or other Software Vendor) Credentialing required where applicable within one year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical terminology.
- Post high school business training.
- 3 years' experience in a health care setting.
- Supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of third-party payers, (ADT) admissions, discharges, transfer system highly preferred.
