Job Summary: An exempt management position responsible for managing the daily operations of one or more practices or sites as assigned. Responsibilities include medical and ancillary services offered at assigned sites. Position supervises support staff as identified by COO. Supervised positions may change from time to time to meet developing operational requirements. May also be assigned to special projects and must demonstrate a sincere dedication and loyalty to the mission, vision and core values of BRMC.

Essential Job Duties and Functions:

* Oversight of daily office operations: Ensures that the office is staffed appropriately and delegates authority to assigned staff as needed. Ensure patient confidentiality and safety.

* Staff development: Assures appropriate orientation and on-going training of staff. Assists patient services staff in developing and implementing short- and long-term work plans and objectives for clerical functions, and in understanding/implementing clinic policies and procedures.

* Staff support: Provides direct support to the reception area and maintains a calm, efficient work environment. Provides front desk and scheduling coverage as needed.

* Staff Assessment: Provides competency assessments and performance evaluations of front office, scheduling and patient advocacy staff.

* Efficiency: Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary.

* Collaboration: Works collaboratively with DON to assure seamless integration of clerical and clinical workflows. Assists Human Resources Department in the recruiting, hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation of clerical staff. Establishes and maintains an efficient and responsive patient flow system in conjunction with the DON.

* Financial management: Under the guidance of the CFO, oversees collection of daily patient payments/receipts, data capture, patient demographics, eligibility, insurance verification. Adheres to finance policies and procedures and internal controls as directed by the CFO.

* Patient communications: Answers patient calls, correspondence and patient complaints as appropriate. Assures appropriate notification of patients when changes occur with providers? schedules and/or practice hours of operation. Communicates with after-hours call service as needed with any changes.

* Works in conjunction with other leaders to support and uphold established policies, procedures, objectives, quality and performance improvement, safety, environmental and infection control activities, and codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.

* Performs other duties as assigned by BRMC to achieve the goal of providing excellent health care in a Patient Centered Medical Home.
