We're looking for a dedicated Patient Access Representative to join our team in New Lebanon, NH!About the Role:As a Patient Access Representative, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient patient experiences from the moment they arrive at our facility. Your responsibilities will include scheduling, registration, and managing patient admissions and discharges, all while adhering to our high standards of care. You'll be at the heart of our patient services, combining your organizational skills with a compassionate approach.Key Responsibilities:Greeting and Registration: Welcome patients with a warm, professional demeanor and complete thorough patient registration, including securing all necessary legal and consent forms.Financial Duties: Educate patients about their financial responsibilities and handle cash and payment processing in compliance with our policies.Scheduling and Coordination: Assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures, coordinate post-discharge care, and ensure all patient information is accurate and complete.Insurance and Authorizations: Verify insurance coverage, secure authorizations, and complete financial clearance tasks to support seamless patient care.Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records, handle Protected Health Information (PHI) with care, and adhere to all compliance standards and protocols.What We're Looking For:Customer Service Skills: You have experience in a customer service role, ideally within a medical or administrative setting.Attention to Detail: Your ability to handle detailed information accurately is key to ensuring a smooth patient experience.Technical Proficiency: Competency with PC, CRT, and printers.Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and third-party payor requirements is preferred but NOT required.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
