Applicants should have 5-star service standards, be detail orientated and able to multi-task and problem solve. This position works closely with patients, providers and clinic nursing staff to ensure a well-rounded care experience for patients. It is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, which makes this position an integral part of the care team. If you are looking to make a difference in patient care, grow your clinical experience and be a part of an extraordinary healthcare team, we encourage you to apply!Mission for PositionTo provide quality, personalized healthcare for a lifetime by helping patients access the care that they need.Duties & Responsibilities* Patient Onboarding and Registration: Ensure smooth patient registration, collect necessary information, and reduce wait times.* Insurance and Financial Guidance: Verify insurance coverage and explain financial responsibilities.* Appointment Management: Schedule and coordinate appointments, manage cancellations, and send reminders.* Patient Support: Educate and assist patients throughout their care journey, addressing any questions or concerns.* Data Accuracy and Compliance: Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in patient records, adhering to HIPAA and clinic policies.* Customer Service: Respond to patient feedback, address access issues, and ensure a positive patient experience.Position TypeThis is a full-time position averaging 64 hours every two weeks. Hours vary between 6:30AM to 5:00PM on weekdays, with a rotating Saturday shift from 7:45AM to 12:00PM.QualificationsQualifications* Strong communication skills and proficiency with electronic health records and computer systems.* Ability to multitask with attention to detail.* High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare or customer service experience preferred.Ideal Candidate* Strong communicator with a proactive approach to resolving issues.* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.* Experienced in customer service or healthcare settings.* Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and other digital tools.BenefitsLakewood Health System is growing and looking for great people to join our mission of providing personalized, quality healthcare for a lifetime.
