TITLE: Patient Access Service RepresentativeLOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (Onsite)SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4 PM PAY: $18.00 - $22.00 Hour DOEThis is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.SUMMARY: The Patient Access Service Rep (PASR) follows the hospital and the Medical College Performance Excellence Customer Service Standards.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets and arrives patients.
- Verifies and updates demographic information.
- Collects monies for copays, supplies, and services rendered.
- Balances daily cash collections.
- Obtains patient signatures.
- Assists patients with ancillary appointment scheduling and forms.
- Schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments.
- Answers and directs telephone calls.
SKILLS:
- A minimum of two years of prior experience as a receptionist/assistant or related field is required.
- Effective communication skills, oral and written required.
- Strong proactive organizational skills a must.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EpicCare is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
