Join the team at UK Healthcare today and make a generational impact in making a healthier Kentucky!The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing patient arrivals patient registration resolution of patient complaints collection and verification of demographic information and insurance/payer source information and correction of registration errors collection of patient-responsibility payments at time of service (copays, co-insurance, self-pay estimates) maintain HIPAA compliant and comply with all UKHC policies regarding patient privacy and confidentiality participate in unit and Enterprise activities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and patient satisfactionThe ideal Candidate: Has the ability to perform their work in a fast-paced environment. Work independently and complete tasks efficiently, with an attention to detail. Loves helping others in sometimes stressful situations. Ability to keep a professional demeanor when working with patients and families.If you are interested in this growth opportunity, apply today!Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will be customer service oriented; possess patient registration and health insurance knowledge; have the ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail; be proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); have solid time management, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills; and have a high level of respect for confidentiality.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
