New River Valley Community Services is seeking a Patient Access Specialist! The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for general office functions that support efficient and effective client care including client admissions, insurance verification, and collection of applicable fees, scheduling oroutpatient and psychiatric service appointments and answering phones. The expectations of this role would include greeting and checking-in families, as well as other visitors in a professional manner while working to exceed customer service expectations.
- Experience using scheduling and EHR software is required.
- Previous receptionist experience in a medical office setting, healthcare, or insurance setting is preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products including, Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
Starting Hourly Rate: $16.29-Depending on ExperienceEducation Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- One or two years of comparable work experience or an associate's degree in a related healthcare/administrative field is preferred.
