Join Our Client's Team as a Patient Access Supervisor!

Are you an experienced healthcare professional with a passion for leadership and exceptional patient care? We are seeking a dynamic Patient Access Supervisor for our client, a local prominent health system, to oversee and manage their 24/7 Patient Access Department. This role emphasizes customer service, patient satisfaction, staff development, and financial goals while ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and develop the Patient Access team in areas such as Admissions, Emergency Department, Laboratory, Radiology Registration and Scheduling, and Financial Counseling.
  • Oversee daily operations, including staff hiring, training, and evaluations.
  • Ensure accuracy in patient registration, insurance verification, and copay collection.
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, and accounting teams to optimize patient placement and department efficiency.
  • Assist with financial management and quality assurance activities.
  • Provide rotational coverage, including weekend shifts and on-call duties.
  • Float between different locations to support operational needs.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate's Degree (Required)

Experience:

  • 4+ years of healthcare-related experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience (Required).

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
  • Expertise in hospital scheduling and billing systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Proven ability to delegate, supervise, and develop staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer relations and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual candidates are a plus!

Certifications:

  • CHAM Certification required within the first year of hire.

Core Responsibilities: Operational Management:

  • Implement departmental goals and streamline workflows.
  • Ensure staff meet departmental objectives, including TOS, ACD, charge reconciliation, and registration quality.
  • Analyze and report on operational performance metrics and develop improvement strategies.

Performance Improvement:

  • Monitor patient satisfaction scores and address areas for improvement.
  • Review and resolve registration and eligibility issues promptly.
  • Update training materials and performance improvement initiatives.

Human Resource Management:

  • Schedule and supervise team members, conduct performance reviews, and provide mentorship.
  • Support recruitment and retention goals while maintaining team engagement through regular feedback and meetings.

Administrative Duties:

  • Oversee payroll, error reports, and supply inventory.
  • Track and improve physician engagement and referral trends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
