Description:
Position Summary: Responsible for helping patients resolve their accounts.
Position Responsibilities
- Receive inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients regarding their self-pay and balance-after-insurance medical accounts through designated dialer pools as assigned
- Address questions patients may have regarding their accounts.
- Secure timely repayment of accounts within client parameters
- Take and report payment information
- Help patient understand their financial obligation
- Educate patients regarding their payment options in a professional and ethical manner
- Facilitate appropriate account resolution in coordination with other FPRS departments in the occasional circumstance in which the account may not, or may not yet be, entirely patient's responsibility
- Negotiate payment arrangements with patients
- Update demographic information on accounts
- Verify the patient's identity prior to disclosing information
- Disposition accounts appropriately once the file has been worked
- Be logged into the dialer and ready for calls at your shift start time
- Respect your fellow coworkers, management, clients and consumers

- Maintain productivity as defined by Key Performance Indicators
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned periodically by management
- If tested for PAR II or PAR III you may be asked to perform the following:
- Assist in monthly or quarterly trainings
- Calculate and appropriately approve settle in full discounts
- Assist in shadowing PAR level representatives and provide feedback
- Mentor PAR level representatives
- Assist in Multichannel efforts

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED or relevant experience that is equivalent
- Medical office experience is a plus, but not required
