Job Title: Patient Account Representative Direct Supervisor: Billing Manager Job Purpose Summary: The Patient Account Representative will be responsible for handling patient billing and balance phone inquiries in a timely manner. Responsibilities Include:
- Effectively manage incoming billing inquires and assist client with live questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Analyze transaction information to identify refunds, delinquent accounts, and sufficient payments.
- Prepare and disburse patient financial statements
- Review all past-due accounts and track their payment progress
- Resolve issues with delinquent accounts through contacting and working with the patient
- Update patient account information as needed to ensure accuracy
- Keep record of patient interaction in patients' charts
- Identify and issue patient credits where needed
