Responsible for reviewing all inpatient payments to assure the facility is receiving maximum reimbursement. Critical to this position is the ability to understand third party regulations, contractual adjustments, and facility contracts. Other responsibilities include training new personnel for the Cashier position, complete the billing process for specialty services, Medicare Quarterly Credit Balance Report, end of the month statistics, and document Blue Cross denials. Responsible to cover the Patient Accounting Operations Representatives, Cashiers, and Insurance Representatives during their absence. Education Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent # Preferred: Medical Terminology and Associate Degree in Business or Accounting Registration/Certification/Licensure: N/A Experience: Minimum: Two years Patient Accounting or Insurance Representative with PC skills.
