About the Position: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Patient Accounts Biller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in managing patient billing inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely claims submissions, and staying up-to-date with billing regulations and HIPAA compliance. As a Patient Accounts Biller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the overall efficiency of our clinic's operations. Essential Duties:
  • Patient Support: Provide exceptional service to patients by addressing billing questions and concerns with professionalism and clarity.
  • Claims Management: Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Resolve claim rejections and denials by staying current with billing rules and regulations.
  • Financial Documentation: Prepare clinic receipts for bank deposits and perform accurate data entry to maintain financial records.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to HIPAA guidelines and billing regulations, updating procedures as needed to comply with current standards.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues and clarify account details.
What we are looking for: Education: High School diploma or GED required. Completion of related coursework from a junior college or vocational school is preferred, or equivalent job-related experience. Experience: Relevant experience in a billing or healthcare administrative role is advantageous. Skills:
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic computer skills, including familiarity with billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and insurance representatives.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims and managing financial data.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies and issues efficiently.
