Responsibilities of the Patient Advocacy Coordinator:
- Identify and pursue opportunities to advance patient advocacy goals.
- Develop and implement state and patient advocacy priorities.
- Research, develop, and disseminate patient advocacy resources.
- Support state advocacy initiatives and grasstops efforts.
- Manage relationships with patient advocacy organizations.
- Assist with policy-related initiatives and advocacy events.
- Engage with stakeholders and patient communities.
- Provide logistical support for committees and events.
- Monitor legislative developments and engage in advocacy activities.
- Collaborate with state medical societies and sub-specialty organizations.
- Develop written materials on legislative issues.
Qualifications of the Patient Advocacy Coordinator:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in patient advocacy.
- Strong project management, event planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in public policy research and analysis.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
