Job Description:
Summary Coordinates patient access to care by performing a variety of appointment scheduling tasks to include answering phones, patient registration, scheduling office visits, scheduling surgeries, and maintain physician(s) schedule. Experience Position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a health care facility to include scheduling appointments/ surgeries and/or coordinating access to care.Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDCompetencies/Skills RequiredEffective communications skillsHigh attention to detail and organizationProficiency with Microsoft Office programs to include Word and OutlookAccurate data entry Ability to prioritize tasks and complete time sensitive duties dailyDependability and excellent attendance are requiredEssential Functions
  • Answer busy phones and assists patients by providing general information and scheduling office visits and surgeries, maintain physician(s) schedule
  • Perform patient registration tasks to include entering patient demographic and insurance information into practice management system(s)
  • Document urgent patient phone messages for physician(s), seeking resolution from physician and following up with resolution in a timely manner
  • Provides administrative support to physician(s)
