Job Overview & Work Site:

Position Summary:

Manages multiple aspects of the patients customer service needs. This may include but is not limited to receiving consistent inbound and making outbound calls to address patient billing questions, accept patient payments by phone, and provide payment solutions for balances that are $100.00 or more. Processes credit card payments for patients and insurance companies and upload to the appropriate system. The company may also delegate other assignments that are not mentioned above. Assignments will fall within the scope of the current position or the individual skillset.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver efficient and professional telephone services.
  • Greet all visitors with professionalism.
  • Professionally communicate with patients by phone.
  • Verify pertinent identity information such as the complete name, DOB, address, and phone number.
  • Suggest payment options within the boundaries established by the client and MBC Policy and Procedure.
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with all patients.
  • Accept patient credit card payments by phone.
  • Process credit card payments from patients and vendors.
  • Posts all credit card payments to patients account into the practice management system.
  • Sort all incoming faxes and distribute to appropriate recipient(s).
  • Process credit card payments received in fax system.
  • Upload faxes into appropriate system.
  • Provide back-up responsibilities for designated employee(s) when the employee is scheduled off or out.
  • Establish and maintain a professional and courteous work environment and display a willingness to work with others to ensure the teams success.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to operate all office equipment (i.e., calculating machine, computer, word processing, database and spreadsheet programs, telephone, copy machine and fax machine).
  • Computer experience: Microsoft Office Applications, Internet etc.

  • Experience with practice management systems utilized by MBC.
