We are a busy general practice and emergency hospital which is built around a collaborative culture.The successful candidate will facilitate a smooth operation between our Veterinarians, Vet Assistants, Vet Techs and Client Service Representatives. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with all levels of our staff and understand the needs and requests of both our internal clients and our external clients.Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Complete all critical follow-up calls and assist in determining what constitutes a critical follow-up alert.
  • Communicates with clients as needed regarding the medical status of their pets
  • Call owners with normal bloodwork results
  • Assist in filtering notes from doctors
  • Be familiar with hospital protocols (ie: vaccines)
  • Be familiar with common side effects of medications and common treatment plans based on treatments and certain disease processes
  • Be familiar with commonly used products
  • Assist doctors with client communication when the doctor is not available
  • Make triage decisions quickly and decisively
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of experience in veterinary medicine
  • CVT/VTS Certification a plus
  • Be proficient in EMR and Cubex systems or able to quickly acclimate
  • Familiar with navigating medical records to guide the client in the next steps
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and able to direct staff and take direction and develop a strong team/partnership
  • Organized and have excellent time management skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are required
Physical Requirements and COVID-19 Requirements: This job is physically active and requires frequent bending and standing for long periods of time.
