Patient Care Aide - PCAAt Comprehensive Care, our caregivers are our front line and most common representative. As a Patient Care Aide - PCA, you will be caring for the elderly, vulnerable, disabled and most often those that cannot care for themselves. You are required to keep the client's needs above all else and perform the following duties with the utmost care. Our office in Chattanooga provides caregivers for the local area including Jasper, Cleveland, Signal Mountain, Dayton, Ooltewah, Hixson, Dalton GA, Lookout Mountain GA, Ringgold GA, and many others

We take great care in matching the right caregiver to the right client. By using behavioral assessment tools, we gain insight into our caregivers and match that to the needs and desires of our clients.
Patient Care Aide - PCA Primary Responsibilities:Assist the client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as specified in the client's plan of care created during in-take. Those activities may include but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, grooming, other personal hygiene, toileting, transferring, eating and continence care.Assist with medication assistance, housekeeping services, laundry, meal preparation, feeding, shopping, transportation to and from appointments and companionship.Other household tasks as specified in the client's plan of careTo report daily activity to your supervisor through the agency management system and daily activity logs. Other communication avenues when available and as needed, including but not limited to phone calls, emails, agency app, face to face, etc.
As a Comprehensive Care Patient Care Aide - PCA, you will also:Practice safety in all activities concerning SHC clientsBe required to lift or push up to 50 poundsDemonstrate honesty, accountability and integrityProvide superior care to SHC clientsRemain vigilant of any potential care concerns or change in conditionKeep your personal appearance in compliance with SHC Policies, including abiding by company dress codeBe timely in reporting for shifts or making scheduling changesReport any suspected abuse or neglect immediately up the proper chain of command, as required by lawDocument any behavior, events, conditions or people that are out of the ordinaryMaintain confidentiality of records, correspondence, etc.Attend meetings and in-services as requested.Abide by all policies and procedures set forth by the Company.Ensure protection of confidential information that is stored, handled, or maintained by following Company policies and procedures related to confidentiality and/or HIPAA regulations.Other duties as assigned.
