Additionally, the PCA can be guided to perform limited duties regarding the individual patient's personal care and hygiene needs.Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS None Required CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Basic Life Support (BLS). New hires will undergo training provided by Carle. Training is reviewed annually through the Carle learning system. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS None SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE - Customer Service experience and professionalism - Effective oral and written communication skills - Ability to focus on an individual's care needs for up to 12 hours a shift. - Ability to assist with lifting patients - Ability to ambulate patients with the use of a gait belt (training provided) - Ability to work on a team supporting patient care needs - Experience with computers ' data entryEssential Functions:Assists patients with the activities of daily livingSafely assist the patient from bed to chair, bathroom (or commode), or wheel chairProvide safe transport in the form of walking patient within room or on unit (not off the unit); proper use of gait beltRecognizes that getting report from patient's nurse is required at start of CPCA's shift.
