SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under direction of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Assistant contributes to the patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient. Actual job tasks may vary depending on the unit or department assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

* High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent required

* BLS required prior to orientation completion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

* Experience working in a healthcare setting
