Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Performs EKG's and Venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.QualificationsRequirement:High School diploma or equivalentPCA/PCT (Patient Care Associate/Patient Care Technician) diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience within the last 6 months in an healthcare setting ORCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification OR PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification OREMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certification OREnrolled in an accredited nursing school program and has completed Nursing Fundamentals level coursework in lieu of PCA/PCT diploma/certification ORProvides evidence of completion in Nursing Fundamental level coursework OREvidence of Completion in of a Nursing Assistant training program ORPCA/PCT, Home Health Aide or CMA experienceAnd must meet one of the Preferred requirements:Phlebotomy experienceBasic Life Support certificationE ffective January 2019, St. Joseph's Health requires certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart AssociationEffective 9/12/2019 to 9/20/2021:Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
