Patient Care Associate - Ellison 12 - Medical unit

Ellison 12 is a 36-bed adult Medical unit located in Boston, MA, USA. The unit is devoted to the care of the acutely ill medical patient. The patient population on this unit includes a diverse mix of medical diagnosesrequiring complex nursing care. The unit is in search of a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Full-time Patient Care Associate (PCA) in the Medical Unit, with Evening shift availability. We are only considering full-time applicants for this opportunity.

* The PCA plays a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients in the Medical Unit. As a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will assist in clinical support functions to promote a safe and compassionate patient care environment.

* Your contributions will directly impact the lives of patients and their families during critical moments of their healthcare journey.

* Our dedicated team works on a rotational holiday and weekend schedule, providing 36-40 hours of coverage per week. This allows for a balanced work-life schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

* Assisting patients with daily living needs, monitoring vital signs, drawing blood, and acquiring EKGs.

* Responding to patient requests in a timely manner while safeguarding patient confidentiality and ensuring patient safety.

* Communicating with patients and their families in a respectful and compassionate manner.

* Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care.

* Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR

* Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire.
