Details Client NameMount Sinai West Job TypeTravel OfferingAllied ProfessionPatient Care Technicians SpecialtyPatient Care Associate Job ID29922784 Job TitlePatient Care Associate - Contract Weekly Pay$795.97 Shift Details ShiftDay - 8x5 - 08AM Scheduled Hours40 Job Order Details Start Date01/27/2025 End Date03/29/2025 Duration9 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Patient Care Associate Job Specialty: Contract - Nursing Attendant Job Duration: 9 Months Shift: Evening Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:15 PM, 5 Days a Week (Every Other Weekend Required) Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week Experience: Three to nine months of healthcare experience preferred License: Not Applicable Certifications: AHA HeartSaver or BLS Required Must-Have: - Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration- Successful completion of Patient Care Associate Orientation Program- Ability to set priorities, problem solve, and use proper judgment in difficult situations- Proficiency in English for oral and written communication- Physical stamina and manual dexterity for various tasks Job Description: - Perform and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations.- Document intake and output and other data as required.- Obtain patients' rating on pain scales, excluding Pediatrics.- Perform clinical procedures like specimen collection, venipuncture, EKG, and maintenance of skin integrity.- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, and toileting.- Orient patients to the clinical environment.- Support patients with ambulation and mobilization.- Assist with dietary functions, including delivering and collecting patient trays and maintaining nutrition records.- Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment for patients.- Conduct one-to-one or close observation of patients for safety, elopement risk, or suicide prevention.- Maintain isolation status for patients under RN direction.- Perform scheduled purposeful rounding for patient comfort and needs.- Utilize communication systems as per protocols.- Be responsive to diverse backgrounds, promoting cultural sensitivity and respecting individual patient needs.- Greet visitors, answer telephones, and provide or direct information appropriately.- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the clinical environment.- Transport patients, specimens, and equipment as needed.- Perform emergency clean-up and discharge preparations.- Update communication boards and medical records as required.- Float to all Medical-Surgical Units as necessary.
