Facilitate Telehealth encounters as needed. Assist with patient's hygiene - including skin care, mouth care, shaving, etc. Prepares patients for meals and assists with feeding as needed. Assists with unit patient admissions and transfers. Perform EKGs as required and follow outlined procedures for submitting abnormal EKGs. Perform dry sterile dressing changes and assist with other patient treatment. Perform blood draws and urine testing. Perform tasks consistent with the PCA job description. Provide clinically appropriate care as directed by the Registered Nurse and/or Physician. Collaborate with the pharmacy to replenish supplies. Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods. 1. A four-year high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required 1. High school diploma or its educational equivalent, approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization; and 2. Successful completion of a NYS Department of Health prescribed training program for Phlebotomy, satisfactory to the Laboratory Director; and 3. Completion of a health care setting-based training program in the performance of electrocardiographs and basic life support procedures including certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation. Special Note: In addition to meeting the qualifications above, assignment to a long-term care facility requires a New York State Nurse's Aide Certificate.
