The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly and ensure a welcoming environment. Handle patient inquiries, provide information on services, and address concerns.Appointment Scheduling:** Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of the audiologists time while accommodating patients needs.Patient Records:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.Insurance Coordination:** Verify patient insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and assist patients with billing inquiries.Pre-Visit Preparation:** Ensure that all necessary documentation and patient information is collected and organized prior to appointments.Patient Education:** Provide patients with information on hearing aids, treatment plans, and follow-up care as directed by the audiologist.Communication:** Serve as a liaison between patients, audiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless communication.Office Administration:** Assist with general office tasks, such as answering phones, managing emails, and ordering supplies.Follow-Up Care:** Coordinate and schedule follow-up appointments, and ensure patients receive timely reminders.Patient Satisfaction:** Continuously monitor patient satisfaction and work to improve the patient experience.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in audiology or a related field.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software.Knowledge of medical insurance processes and terminology.Compassionate, patient-focused, and empathetic demeanor.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
