This position reports directly to the Patient Care Coordinator SupervisorResponsibilities* Schedule ob surgery, medical referrals, diagnostic tests and treatments ordered by provider and assure that the patient has been notified, understands directions, and completes all documentation in the patient's Electronic Medical Records.* Reviews and selects medical records pertinent to referrals, diagnostic tests and treatments to be sent with order to provider or facility* Completes the pre-authorizations process with insurance companies as it relates to ob surgery, referral and/or diagnostic test scheduled.* Follows up on ob surgery, referrals and diagnostic tests ordered to ensure completion and the receipt of all reports including consult notes and test results.Requirements* Must have High School Diploma or equivalent* Preferred two-years experience in ob/medical office scheduling referrals and working follow up.Full-time employee benefits include:* 12 vacation days earned in the first year* 11 paid personal days/holidays per calendar year* 6 sick days earned per year* Retirement plan with 3% company contribution after becoming eligible in the plan (a matching contribution by the employee is not required to receive this benefit).
