Location: Rutland,VT, USA
Works in cooperation with nursing staff and under the direction of the emergency physicians providing timely, efficient and effective acute care of patients utilizing a team model. Performs care including assessments, treatments and medication administration to emergency department patients utilizing skills based on the National Scope of Practice for Paramedics.
Minimum Education
* HS Diploma or equivalent.
* Completion of accredited paramedic education program.
Minimum Work Experience
* 3 years as a pre-hospital care provider required, experience as a Critical Care Paramedic preferred.
* Experience with immobilization and stabilization procedures a plus.
Required Licenses/Certifications
* Basic airway skills.
* Immobilization skills.
* IV therapy skills.
* Oxygen and ventilation administration skills.
* Bleeding control and shock management skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
* Ability to move or lift patients and equipment.
* Demonstrated proficiency in providing critical care, knowledge, and skills.
* Demonstrated moderate knowledge of Medical Terminology.
* Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
Pay Range: $22.39 - $33.09
