Responsibilities The
Patient Care Tech assistant will assist in the delivery of care under the supervision of the Hospitalist, nurse practitioner and Registered nurse. The role supports the ongoing operational needs of the program, clinical and non-clinical.
Hours: Full time. Mondays through Friday from 7-8am to 3:30- 4:30pm. No weekend/ Holidays. Tully Center. Responsibilities: - Greets patients/visitors courteously and Professionally. Demonstrates ongoing commitment to customer service excellence.
- Verifies all patient information following the Stamford hospital patient identification policy.
- Prepares patient for POP visit by accompanying them to the exam room, obtaining vital signs and height/weight.
- Performs specimen collection as required for tests ordered, (e.g., nasopharyngeal swab, oropharyngeal swab, venipuncture, EKG's etc.)
- Ensuring all specimens obtained are properly labeled following the specimen collection and labeling policy. All specimens are handled and forwarded to the laboratory complying with the laboratory department guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with established standards of care.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certified from a CNA program or in a Nursing program or equivalent.
- Heart Saver within one year of hire.
