The Patient Care Tech Performs daily care activities to help achieve the goals of the patient care plan as directed by the Registered Professional Nurse.minimum education/certification licenses:Required:High School diploma or equivalentCompletion of one of the following educational programs:Successful completion in a Certified Nursing Aid program with certificateORSuccessful completion in the fundamentals of nursing coursework and clinical rotation in hospital setting OR1 year previous experience as a patient care tech in an EDEXPERIENCE:Required:Minimum of 1 year, 2 year preferred of patient care experience in an acute care settingPreferred:Completion of a phlebotomy courseSPECIAL SKILLS/EQUIPMENT:RequiredMust have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification a time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire date
