About the Role: As a Patient Care Tech at our Medical West location, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients. You will work closely with our nursing staff to assist with daily patient care activities, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, and providing emotional support to patients and their families. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be essential in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care. Under the supervision of the RN or LPN, the Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs various duties to support the treatment and care of patients according to established methods and procedures. The PCT takes and records vital signs, assists with personal hygiene, changes bed linens, and completes other tasks as assigned to promote the basic comfort and personal care of the patient. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program
- Additional training or certification in patient care
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
