Landmark Hospital of Cape Girardeau, MO has an exciting opportunity for a Patient Care Tech (PCT)/Certified Nurses' Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated and professional team. Shift: Night - Full Time, Days or Nights - PRN Position: Full time or PRN Pay Range: $18 - $20.50 (depending on years of experience) Summary: Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of nursing. The primary commitment is to the patient, so an important responsibility includes following through with tasks and following up on communication with the nursing and RT staff to help provide optimal patient care. Patient Care Tech (PCT)/CNA Responsibilities: Perform basic care skills under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse including vital signs, intake/output measurement, catheter care, CPR, restraint management, bowel and bladder training, and documentation of care in the patient record. Responsible for assisting the licensed nurse in meeting the patients' needs in the areas of personal hygiene, personal care, skin care, grooming, rest, activity, nourishment, body mechanics, elimination, and psychosocial support. Provide adequate, safe care, maintain knowledge about each patient assigned and participate in reports with nursing and other techs. Requires attention to detail related to patient care restrictions and special instructions or issues (diet instructions, fall risk etc.). Patient Care Tech (PCT)/CNA Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
  • 1-3 years of related experience, preferably in a hospital setting, EMT/Paramedic experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be organized, a team player and detail-oriented
  • Good computer skills
  • BLS/CPR certification preferred (classes available)
