- Perform basic care skills under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse including vital signs, intake/output measurement, catheter care, CPR, restraint management, bowel and bladder training and documentation of care in the patient record.
- Responsible for assisting the licensed nurse in meeting the patients' needs in the areas of personal hygiene, personal care, skin care, grooming, rest, activity, nourishment, body mechanics, elimination, and psychosocial support.
Requirements for Patient Care Technician
- High School Diploma/GED - preferred
- Certification (Certified Nursing Assistant for the state of Florida (preferred)
- 1-3 years of related experience in patient care, (LTACH) Long term acute care/hospital experience preferred
- Must be organized, good communicator, compassionate, and detail-oriented
