JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician within the substance use disorder unit provides critical support to patients undergoing treatment. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. The technician collaborates with healthcare professionals to implement care plans, document patient progress, and facilitate communication. Compassion, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for fostering positive relationships with patients and their families while promoting recovery and wellness. JOB REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required.
