Performs a variety of patient care and clerical services in a ambulatory health care center or physician's office. Obtains and records patient'svital signs and performs routine tests such as urinalysis, blood sugar,and hematocrit. Education, Training & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Graduate of state approved nursing assistant certificate program or 2 years experience as a direct care provider in a related clinical setting or a combination of education and experience acceptable to the Director of Nursing. Emergency Department positions preferred EMS training or medical corpsman experience.
- Certificate of successfully completing a Patient Care Technician training program with presentation of competency based orientation and Basic Cardiac Life Support. Training must include phlebotomy and 12 Lead ECG.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training required
