* Full-Time Position with rotating day and night shifts.
* Title and Salary based on education and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patient Care:
* Perform core nursing assistant duties (e.g., ADLs, vital signs, telemetry, specimen collection, blood glucose monitoring).
* Assist with physical, respiratory, and cardiopulmonary therapies.
* Provide patient education under RN supervision and assist with restraint application/removal.
* May perform advanced tasks such as Foley catheter insertion/removal, IV insertion/removal, phlebotomy, and simple dressing changes.
* Department Support & Professional Development:
* Suggest and support departmental changes and quality initiatives.
* Actively seek and apply feedback to improve skills and performance.
* Participate in professional development, self-reviews, and project work.
* Compliance & Safety:
* Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
* Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
* Transport cardiac-monitored patients and complete clerical duties as needed.
* Teamwork & Communication:
* Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and establish respectful relationships across departments.
* Contribute to unit tasks such as responding to call lights, meal tray distribution, and patient transport.
* Equipment & Safety:
* Report equipment issues and promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Experience:
* 2 years of general healthcare experience and completion of Patient Care Technician (PCT) requirements, OR
* 1 year of healthcare experience and enrollment in a PT/OT/PA program (with at least one clinical rotation), OR
* 1 year of healthcare experience and a completed bachelor's degree in a health sciences field.
* Successful completion of the Patient Care Technician Senior class and basic information systems training.
* Annual completion of a professional contribution (details provided post-hire).
* Microcomputer experience preferred.
* Effective communication skills (oral and written).
* Nursing students (with at least one clinical rotation) preferred.
* EMT/Paramedic certification or current enrollment in an EMT/Paramedic program preferred.
* Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia course and annual competency required.
* May transport medications between departments; this is limited to specific situations.
Certifications:
* CPR (AHA standards within 30 days of hire).
* ACLS and Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
* Basic arrhythmia course completion required.
