Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Obstetrical Nursing, provides assistance with nursing care of antenatal, neonate, post-partum, and GYN patients as needed under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Services Department and regulatory agencies. The Patient Care Technician is accountable for the aspects of nursing care they are directed to provide within their scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications
* Education
o High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Experience
o Previous experience as a C.N.A. or P.C.T. preferred
* Licensure and/or Certification
o C.N.A. preferred.
o BLS healthcare provider required.
* Skills
o Ability to take vital signs.
o Interpersonal skills.
o Communication skills.
o Computer skills.
o Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
o Ability to maintain confidential information.
