Overview:

Patient Care Tech- Powell 3 Adult Oncology - Methodist

Shifts include every 4th weekend and holiday rotation

Shift differentials available for qualifying shifts

Benefits Eligible for part-time positions

Positions available:

  • Part Time (0.4 or 0.6 FTE) - night shift
  • PRN

Provides direct care for adult patients on a 28-bed medical oncology unit. Patient population may include patients receiving chemotherapy.

Responsibilities:
  • PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
  • Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
  • Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
  • Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Must be 16 years old or older.
  • Minimum of 75 hour Certified Nursing Aid certification required. Indicate on your application which CNA certification you possess (75 hour, 120 hour or 150 hour). Only applications with this information indicated will be considered.
  • Dept of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work.
