Job Description:Patient Care Technician - Non licensedWeekends Only - 24 hoursJob DescriptionThe Patient Care Technician assists patients with the activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients considering the special needs of pediatric and geriatric patients when indicated, assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse of the team/and or unit.Job Duties
- Personal hygiene
- Routine vital signs
- Documentation of patient care in EMR based on scope of practice
- Phlebotomy and various other lab collections
- Placement of appropriate monitoring equipment
- Performs 12 Lead ECG
Requirements
- High School/GED
- Must obtain Basic Life Support within three months of hire.
Preferred Requirements
- Successful completion of an Approved Aide Training Program is preferred.
- Previous phlebotomy/point of care testing is preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting providing patient care preferred.
