What you'll do: Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Inform patients of delays or other situations that may result in a longer than normal wait.
  • Guiding patients to their designated treatment location from the waiting area.
  • Describe policies and procedures for new and established patients.
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms for patients, discarding contaminated gowns and drapes appropriately.
  • Keep the reception/waiting area clean at all times.
  • Stocking and organizing of patient forms in POD and exam rooms.
  • Responsible for notifying Management of full sharps containers.
  • Back up filing of patient charts and indexing.
  • Assist with copying of forms and compiling of patient education booklets.
  • Attend and participate in staff and front desk meetings.
  • Any duties or projects as assigned by supervisor, particularly during downtime.
Qualifications Who you are: Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • One year's medical office experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and other regulatory policies.
  • Previous experience with office equipment including copiers, fax machines and computers.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures, policies, practices and medical terminology, telephone protocol and professional etiquette.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical systems, including Athena/Centricity, ReDoc and the like.
  • Common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
