Day.Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a PATIENT GUIDE to join our team!Duties include,but are not limited to:* Make eye contact, greet, and assist every patient that enters the building through the main entrance.* Anticipate the needs of the patient registration staff to keep the process running smooth and timely, often refers patients to clinic reception staff if a backlog is expected.* Keep our customers informed of any delays* Be a good listener* Build relationships with our patients and staff; they will expect to see you and speak with you every time they enter the building.* Work with hospital/clinic departments to make the patient experience stress-free by keeping communication open* Continuously represent Aspirus Ironwood in a positive manner even outside of working hours.* Deliver wheelchairs, food for oncology and clean and dirty instruments.HOURS: Full Time; 0.8 FTE or 64 hours per pay period. Day Shift.Experience/Qualifications* Knowledge of general office procedures and customer service normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent* 2-3 years of customer service experience required* Previous experience with direct patient care preferredEmployee Benefits* Full benefits packages available for part- and full-time status.* PTO accrual from day one!* Generous retirement plan with match available.* Wellness program for employees and their families.Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood's service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 4 bed ICU, 3 bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 10 patients per day.
