Position Title:Patient Liaison Front Desk SupportDepartment:ICCSStatus: Non-ExemptWAGE:$24.22 hr.Reports to:Intake Coordinator/Support SupervisorPLEASE NOTE THE DAYS AND HOURS NEEDED FOR THIS POSITION:TUESDAY-FRIDAY 7:45AM-3:45PMSATURDAY 5:30-1:30PMPosition Summary This position is the first point of contact with patients in a high volume clinic, both in person and on the phone. The Patient Liaison will identify and assist patients with special concerns by connecting them to the appropriate staff member. The incumbent will be responsible for checking patients in, collecting financial and insurance information, accepting payments, answering phones, and maintaining the reception area.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Welcomes high volumes of patients into clinic in a courteous manner both in person and on the telephone• Assist and identifies special concerns of patients connecting them to appropriate staff or services• Demonstrates the ability to diffuse tensions, problem solve and practice healthy conflict resolution skills with client population• Transfer requests and needs to appropriate department to assist patient with questions and patient need.• Advocates for patient requests and needs for services• Collects financial and insurance information from patients seeking admissions to program• Assist patients with scheduling their appointments in person and on the telephone• Accept patient payments and completes a receipt with all relevant information• Take accurate and complete telephone messages and distribute messages in a timely manner• Report and computer or customer service issues to Supervisor as they occur• Prepare list of needed office supplies for Supervisor to approve• Gather medical providers file and prepare daily for medical appointments• Maintain reception area• Distribute faxes as received• Observe UA testing and complete appropriate documentation• Process lab results• Schedule annual exams and blood work• Instant message staff with regards to appointments• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information• Professional appearance and manner in performance of duties• All other duties assigned by supervisorSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNo supervisory responsibilities.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities• Typing speed of at least 45 wpm with no errors
  • Must be familiar with HIPAA. The confidentiality of alcohol and drug abuse patients and their records maintained by this program is protected by Federal Law and Regulations.
  • Good customer service with both internal and external customers
• Must have the ability to operate multi phone lines• Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, high volume environment and maintain a professional attitude.Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Position Qualifications• High School Graduate or GED• Three (3) years relevant office/administrative experience requiring accuracy and attention to detail CD or Medical field preferred.• Must be familiar with HIPAA, the confidentiality of alcohol and drug abuse patients and their records maintained by this program is protected by Federal Law and Regulations. • Must have experience working in a fast paced environment and able to direct or transfer all inquiries regarding admissions or business questions.• Washington State Driver's license and ability to be approved by Tribal insurance if needed to drive Tribal vehicles upon completion of Defensive Driving provided by company• Ability to pass criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random drug screenings Full Time Employees are eligible for:
