Join our team of passionate caregivers and make Northwest Florida Community Hospital your new home.The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:•Interview patients to gather demographic and insurance information in order to register the patient in the computer system •Establish the patient medical record •Provides Advanced Beneficiary Notices, HIPAA, Patient Rights and benefit assignments as directed •Obtains authorizations, certifications, and referrals from insurance companies •Identifies patient's financial responsibilities and collects payments•Liaison between patients, patients' relatives, and the healthcare organization•Communicates patients' questions and concerns to appropriate staff members•Explains policies and procedures to patients and refers them to the proper services required•Ensuring all confidentiality and privacy rights of residents are observe.•Supports and promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values; adheres to all hospital policies and procedures; commits to the Standards of Conduct; maintains professional appearance.•Other duties as assigned.The successful candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:•High School Diploma (or equivalent) •Minimum of one (1) year experience in a customer-focused industry •Knowledge of principles and practices of patient registration, insurance reimbursement, governmental and other payer source billing, credit and collections, cashiering and admitting•Familiar with functions, capabilities and operation of computer-based billing, patient accounts, and registration management systems•Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service, patience, empathy and compassion•Excellent computer and communication skills.•Effective communication skills, including active listening, writing, speaking and reading comprehension•Good collaboration and teamwork skills•Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities•Keen attention to detail•Follow all established Federal, State and Local rules, regulations and guidelines.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and boast an enjoyable, team oriented working environment that offers a number of benefits to full-time associates including, but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, disability, life, paid time off, tuition reimbursement and a voluntary match 401(k) retirement savings plan. *Perks for our team:Shift Differential Pay401K with employer matchCompetitive payHealth and Wellness Discounts*Details outlining program specifics are available upon requestSo if you want to join a team that values your hard work, look no further than Northwest Florida Community Hospital!How to apply:1.
