Job Type: RegularTime Type: Part timeWork Shift: Night (United States of America)FLSA Status: Non-ExemptWhen you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.32hpw; 11p-7:30a, rotating weekends and holidaysJob Description:Duties/Responsibilities:• Under the general management and supervision of the Nurse Manager and/or direction of the Registered Nurse, performs a variety of activities that include, but are not limited to,o Direct and continuous observation of patient at a distance no greater than arm's length from patient.o Participates in patient rounding as and when directed by the Registered Nurseo Ensures environmental safety for patiento Answers call lights and ensures patient care issues are directed to the Registered Nurseo Restocking department supplies and precautions stationso Transports patients within the department and to in-hospital locations as needed.o Clean patient equipment following the designated processo Completes patient safety sitter competencyo Completes all required documentation for patient careo Communicates any and all changes in patient behavior to the Registered Nurseo Involved as directed with quality improvement studies and activities specific to the unit.o Considers specific cultural beliefs and practices when caring for patients. Utilizes interpreter services for patients with limited English proficiencyo Performs all duties in accordance with safety and other laws, rules and regulations as set forth by appropriate regulatory and governmental agencies and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policy and procedure.Education/Experience Required:High School diploma/GED/or enrolled and near completion of High School Health Sciences program.Registration/Certification:Basic Life Support current certification required within 3 months of hireCompletes Hospital approved de-escalation training during unit based orientation.Physical/Environmental RequirementsThis job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use.
