The Patient Safety Attendant is responsible for providing continuous observation of assigned patients,virtually and in-person as needed. This includes verbally redirecting patient form engaging in any at-risk behaviors and notifying nursing staff when patients need assistance. 1. Maintains visual observation at all times. Verbally redirects patients over audio and/or visual devices that are in the patient rooms .. Makes rounds to patient rooms that are set up with virtual observation .. Completes observation records and reports as required .. Reports any unusual behavior to the nurse i.e. confusion or disorientation .. Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs .. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. Qualifications.
